This is a silent crisis with many parents and caregivers who often will find themselves trying to decide whether they should pay for rent, food or diapers. These “banks” supply other local non-profits with adult diapers to be given away to seniors that reside in the geographic area. Although many diaper banks do not supply individuals directly, they can provide a list of local non-profits organizations that they provide adult diapers and those organizations can be contacted directly.
Diaper banks are charitable organizations that provide diapers and incontinence supplies for low income individuals and families in their community. In most cases, these supplies are distributed by the organization for free. Each organization has its own policies for what kind of products they provide and how they are given out. Since these diapers are much more expensive to buy at the outset, there are organizations willing to lend diapers to low income families providing a zero diaper cost to the family. What is the Miami Diaper Bank you ask? We’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit group that supports low-income families and babies with diaper need throughout South Florida. We collect, store and distribute free diapers and essentials to other nonprofits, family service agencies and shelters in our community. The Diaper Bank of Central Arizona serves the Valley’s most vulnerable families through over 30 Partner Agencies who help families in need. We work under the umbrella of the Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona, the nation’s first Diaper Bank! Diaper Bank will purchase diapers for low-income families with babies.
